The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources announced some 2023 record-breakers and talked trophy fishing in general. “We love hearing about the fish you reel in at Utah’s water bodies, but it’s especially exciting when those fish are record-breaking catches,” the division said Thursday on social media. “The primary reason that the DWR tracks record fish is to provide anglers with recognition of their achievements,” DWR Sportfish Coordinator Trina Hedrick said. The fish was 25 5/8 inches long.
